On Sunday 23rd Sept 07 people all over the world were encouraged to leave their cars at home and experience the joys of local shopping, walking, and recreation.

Portobello, Edinburgh, closed off Rosefield Ave and a great party, with stalls, fancy dress bikes, food, and music took over central Porty. The Belle Star Band played for street dancing, with special guests, young High School band Frankieand the High Fives , making their High St debut.

Belle Stars jetted off to Berlin this summer (07) and led some lively dance workshops for young people in Wust, East Germany as part of their language summer school. We also played for dancing at night and were joined by Gica's sons and partner for a family Von Trap concert featuring dancing, songs, klezmer, and merrymaking.
